To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Required
Hey, College Girl!
Have you ever thought the reason why your basket feels too heavy to carry is because you are indeed one of God’s strongest soldiers?
You are called. & when you are called, you are dealt with great trust and responsibility for the greatness you have asked for. Let me put it to you this way: you are paying over 5-6 figures in your higher education because it comes with an investment which is your bachelor’s degree. With that being said, there are responsibilities that come with it. That looks like waking up early for class, proving your comprehension of content through tests, quizzes, and essays, participating in extracurriculars, attending office hours, research, internships, and so much more. It is not enough to enroll. It is not enough to call yourself a full time student. You must show what that means, what that looks like, you must prove your accomplishments, and you must also show proof of rewards for work. You were never promised an easy journey in college.
Just as life is not easy, the road to your dreams is not any easier. It will require that you leave behind toxic patterns, limiting beliefs, old ways of living, a negative perception of failure, and even leaving behind the friend who holds you back. This does not mean that you stepping into your new era makes you a better human being than another person, it means that you are proving to your new self that you are equipped for the journey ahead. Expect to struggle along the way. This is a new world, a new realm, a new path, a new way of doing life. It takes 30 days to build a habit, so what makes you think the change will happen in the snap of a finger. Just because you go to the gym once, it does not mean you are now in the gym everyday. You must show up every opportunity possible to prove that you are in your gym era. Just because you did not eat meat today, it does not make you a habitual vegetarian. Remember that process is practiced overtime. What is not talked about, is in this process, as much as people may not recognize you you will not be able to recognize yourself as well. You are a new creature when you fulfill what is required.
Remember, it is okay to grieve what you thought life was supposed to be. However, do not grieve what you asked for. When you asked for $10,000 you asked for boundaries and discipline. When you asked to be wealthy, you asked for immense focus. When you asked to be in rooms with elites, you asked to meet people who would take advantage of you. When you ask for a high level romantic relationship, you are asking for trust, patience, and self confidence. We think we ask for what we want but we are requesting the qualities and responsibilities of what our wants require. The path is not supposed to be easy because what is given easily, it taken away easily too. What is given quickly, will not last.
When you have proven yourself, it will unravel in divine timing. Become who you want to be today, College Girl.
Sincerely,
Pitra
